This historic Ashland home called for a traditional-style garden with a formal symmetrical structure. A square-flagstone patio bordered in brick overlooks terraced garden beds with brick-topped walls and stone steps leading down to an oval natural grass lawn with a croquet set. Roses, peonies, boxwoods, and laceleaf Japanese maples add to the classic charm.
